  • Tip: Browse and Explore in Library to learn

  • How to do?

    Choose “Classle Library” from the menu bar.

    Classle library allows members to browse and explore around the subject area(s) of interest. For example, if you wish to learn on “Network Security”, type in 'Network Security' as the keyword.

    The result set would list the results matched to the given keyword. You may browse the results by author, content-type, tags etc., to explore.

  • Tip: Watch NPTEL Video Lectures for a subject of your interest

  • How to do?

    Choose “Classle Library” from the menu bar.

    Classle library allows members to browse and explore around the subject area(s) of interest. For example, if you wish to view the list of available lectures for “Advanced Operations Research”, enter the preferred subject area.

    When the results are shown, choose “Filter by Tags” from the left. Choose “NPTEL” from the tags. The resultant pages will have the Video lectures on the subject that is been entered.

  • Tip: Ask! Questions and clarify your doubts

  • How to do?

    "Ask!” link in Quick Links provides the feature to ask questions (doubts in subject areas, and not generic questions).

    When the question is Ask!ed, a mail would be triggered to all experts who had volunteered to assist students on the subject area. When the expert gets to answer the question in Classle, a mail gets triggered back to the author of the question, informing that their question has been answered.

  • Tip: Share your Class Notes with others

  • How to do?

    Create a Content” in Quick Links offers the way to list the types of contents that are supported in Classle. Sharing any content is easy.

    If its a written content, it can be photographed / scanned to convert it as an image. Choose the “Image content” to select and upload the image file(s). If its available as a text document, choose “Resource page” to select and upload the file(s). If it is available in any other form, like ppt or pdf, choose “Large Content” to select and upload the file(s).

    Except the “Resource page”, all other contents would be moderated to ensure the decency and relevancy of the contents. Kindly refrain yourself from sharing any copyrighted content.

  • Tip: Review and Rate content.

  • How to do?

    Classle is a Social Learning platform and there are contents available on many subject areas.

    To find best content, as individual users after reading the content, rate them based on the contents’ usefulness. Use the five-star rating, to cast your vote (1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest)

  • Tip: Comment on a content you read

  • How to do?

    Classle is a Social Learning platform and there are contents available on many subject areas.

    To find best content, as individual users after reading the content, comment on them to provide your views on the content. Use the “Add Comment” section listed below the content to add a comment. provide constructive inputs.

  • Tip: Invite your friends, class mates or Colleagues

  • How to do?

    Use the “Invite” block available on the left side on the home page.

    You may invite friends who are already on your gmail, hotmail address books. Bring in more and more learners and knowers into Classle, where Learning is Social.

  • Tip: Like a Quiz? Mark it as Favourite!

  • How to do?

    If you like a quiz which you attend, you can make it as favourite by clicking the "Add to My Favourite" icon found at the bottom of that quiz. You’ve bookmarked it and any time you wish to take up the quiz again,

    you may use “Quizzes -> Favourite Quizzes” to list all the marked quizzes for quick access.

  • Tip: Volunteer as an Expert on your subject area of expertise

  • How to do?

    Find the 'Volunteer' link from the “Quick Links”.

    Mention the subject area(s) of expertise, separated with comma. When a question is “Ask!”ed in your preferred subject area of expertise, you would get a notification. You may chose to answer the question.

  • Tip: participate in Learning Circle Forums

  • How to do?

    Choose “My Classle” from the menu.

    In “My Links”, choose “My Learning Circles” to view the list of Learning Circles in which you are a member / owner.

    Choose a Learning Circle. Find links for Learning Circle Forums. participate in those forums by creating a new topic for discussion or replying to an existing post.

  • Tip: post a Sample problem / problem Statement in a Learning Circle

  • How to do?

    Sample problems are for the application of understanding.

    Quizzes will help in testing the understanding, whereas Sample problems would assist the learners to apply their learning to solve the problem.

    Choose “My Classle” from the menu. In “My Links”, choose “My Learning Circles” to view the list of Learning Circles in which you are a member / owner.

    Choose a Learning Circle. Find links for Create. Choose the “Sample problems” and post the sample problems or problem statement into the Learning Circle.

  • Tip: post a Solution against a Sample problem

  • How to do?

    Submissions are the solutions for Sample problems. Anyone who is a member of a particular Learning Circle can submit answers for Sample problems.

    To do a submission, Choose “My Classle” from the menu. In “My Links”, choose “My Learning Circles” to view the list of Learning Circles in which you are a member / owner. Choose a Learning Circle. Find links for Create. Create the submission for a problem statement.

  • Tip: Take a Quiz to benchmark your understanding

  • How to do?

    To take a quiz, choose “Quiz -> Take a Quiz” option from the menu.

    List of all available quizzes, with the most recent quizzes on top of the list, would be shown. Choose a quiz from the list or search for a quiz by using the “Search Quiz” option. Type in a topic for which you want to take the quiz and click apply. Select the Quiz of your choice to attempt.

  • Tip: Join a Learning Circle and participate

  • How to do?

    Learning Circles are virtual learning groups. Learners, professionals and Experts would be members of the Learning Circle.

    Choose “Academics -> Learning Circles -> Join” from the menu. A list of all available learning circles would be shown. Click on “Join” to join a learning circle of your interest.

  • Tip: Create a Forum Topic in Learning Circle

  • How to do?

    Wish to have a discussion on the Subject Area? Create a forum topic in the Learning Circle and have it started with the members of the Learning Circle.

    Choose “My Classle -> My Learning Circles”, select a Learning Circle, Choose “Create Forum Topic”.

  • Tip: Assume Ownership for Learning Circle(s)

  • How to do?

    Wish to own a Learning Circle? You may organize the contents bookmarked into the Learning Circle, View the flagged contents for their relevancy to the Learning Circle, and manage the membership of the learning circle.

    You can own a maximum of 3 learning circles and you can do so by choosing Choose “My Classle -> My Learning Circles”, selecting a Learning Circle, and choosing “Take Ownership”.

  • Tip: Suggest Owners for Learning Circle

  • How to do?

    You have another colleague or friend of yours who can own a Learning Circle? Suggest them to be owners, by inviting them to take the ownership.

    Choose “My Classle -> My Learning Circles”, select a Learning Circle, Choose “Suggest Owners” and provide email-ids.

  • Tip: Bookmark Resources into Learning Circle(s)

  • How to do?

    Are you reading a content and finding it relevant for a subject area?

    Wish to suggest the content to other members in your Learning Circles? Just bookmark them into appropriate Learning circle(s), in which you are a member / owner. Below the content, find an icon (Add to Learning Circles) and choose the Learning Circles in which you want to bookmark it. Now the bookmarked contents would start appearing in “Resources” tab of the Learning Circle.

  • Tip: Share a Quiz into Learning Circle(s)

  • How to do?

    Taken a Quiz?Wish to share it with your friends / Learning Circle members?

    Add quizzes to the learning circles by clicking "Share this quiz" in the Recent Quizzes menu in www.classle.net/quiz

  • Tip: Post Questions (True or False / Multiple-choice Type)

  • How to do?

    To add a question to the quiz that you have created, click on the “Add Questions” option from the Menu bar.

    To add mulitple choice questions, click “Mulitple Choice Questions”, Enter the question and add the choice answers under “Alternative”. Select the checkbox “correct” for the correct answer alone.

    To add more choice answers, click “Add more alternatives”. Now, select your Quiz from the “Add to Quiz” list or enter a title if you want to create a new quiz and click Save.

  • Tip: Share a Content with your contacts through facebook / Orkut

  • How to do?

    Do you like a resource after viewing / reading through it? Do you wish to share it with your contacts? You may share the content with your Facebook / Orkut contacts by choosing the "Share/Save" icon available at the bottom of the content page. You may also forward a link to the content through email id(s).

  • Tip: Report a Question, if it is incorrect

  • How to do?

    You can report a question if you find the question or the provided answer in the 'Just A Second' is wrong.

    Just A Second Question appears when you navigate to the home page. 'Report a Question' can be found above the question.

  • Tip: Flag a Content, if it is a spam / incorrect

  • How to do?

    You may report abuse by using the proper “Flag Abuse” link that appears next to many pieces of contents on the site.

    If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest that you to write to us through “Feedback” with a reference to the content.

  • Tip: Download and Listen to Expert Video Lectures on Mobile Phones

  • How to do?

    Welcome to Kyyil, Classle's innovation to break the digital barrier in Education. Kyyil offers channels for Video Lectures such as NPTEL courses, Soft skills, Career Guidance and the like as these video lectures could be downloaded to a computer, and copied on to the SD (Secure Digital) Card using SD Card reader cable. Now the SD Card could be used in the mobile phone to view lectures anywhere anytime.

    Bluetooth is another way to share files across devices. Kyyil can be accessed by either “Navigate/Quick Links” box on the left of home page or from the Menu - “Academics –> Kyyil”

  • Tip: Share video lectures through Mobile phones.

  • How to do?

    Use Kyyil channels to download video lecture(s) from the Kyyil Channels to a computer and use Blue tooth to share the video.

    Bluetooth is a mechanism for sharing files between a mobile phone and a computer or between mobile phones. The mobile phone must support SD (Secure-Digital) Cards for storing the video files and sharing would be possible when both the devices (computer / mobile phone) has Bluetooth as a feature.

  • How to do?

    Project Idea provides abstract of a Project. Projects can be created further from the listed project ideas. As a project aspirant, any user get to see the list of Project Ideas and if the idea is interesting, a Project can be pursued based on the idea. More details are listed at Projects-Help .

  • Tip: Joining a project

  • How to do?

    To become a member of a project of your choice, begin with checking the list of projects with "Projects Menu --> Projects --> Join" . Search through the projects by checking the relevancy of title & description to your needs and request membership (with the owner of the project) on suitability by clicking on 'join'.

  • How to do?

    Click on Project menu. Follow Projects --> My projects to see the list of projects that you’ve enrolled. A quick view is also provided under “My Classle -> My Projects”

  • Tip: Identifying a mentor

  • How to do?

    In Projects home page, choose 'Mentor list' in the 'Navigate/Quick links' in the left pane. You may also use 'Mentor Exchange' drop down menu and search through the list
