In  this  competitive  world  the  investment  on  textile  machineries  is  a  necessity  for  the  textile

manufacturers. With technology changes, the up gradation of the machinery too is desirable. The

development in textile machines is mainly due to the defects in the out-coming products. So the

identification and control of defects is most important, this leads to the application of sensors in

textile  machineries.  These  sensors  are  the  more  accurate,  more  sensitive  and  they  required  less

energy.  Our  poster  mainly  deals  with  these  kinds  of  sensors  which  are  used  in  modern  textile

machineries. Our poster covers the following things:

Instead of light sensors now a day’s laser sensors are used to sense the material feed and delivery.

Because the range is high and the scattering will be less.

Prototype ionic  biosensors which are sense sodium,  potassium and  chloride content so they  are

used to measure the chloride level of water and other chemicals.

Mini-sensor  which  determines  the  acidity  based  on  color  changes  so  they  are  used  in  modern

processing machines to measure the pH level and to maintain it.

Auto-doffing which is used instead of manual doffing. 

We  have  covered  some  of  the  sensors  like  thin-film  pressure  Sensor,  position  sensors,  hyper

spectral  sensors,  digital  pressure  switches,  magneto  resistive  sensors,  tie  bar  sensors  which  are

used  in  spinning,  weaving,  processing  and  testing.  And  we  have  also  covered  the  principles,

usages, advantages, and the machinery which is adopting these sensors. 

 The usage of these technological changes in sensors leads to the minimum number of defects in

the out coming products and increase in quality and as well as productivity.
