Optimizing the Total Operating Cost

Optimization is the methodologies for improving the quality and desirability of a product or product concept. It is the process of finding function extrema to solve problems and finding an alternative with the most cost effective or highest achievable performance under the given constrains by maximizing desired factors and minimizing undesired ones. Simulation is the imitation of some real thing, state of affairs, or process.

The act of simulating something generally entails representing certain key characteristics or behaviors of a selected physical or abstract system .It draws upon specialized knowledge and skills in the mathematical and physical sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify predict and evaluate the result to be obtained from such systems. In this the optimal solution, the total operating cost is obtained by using the non-traditional technique such as Genetic Algorithm and the simulation is obtained by using MAT lab software version 7 .
