INTRODUCTION:

                               Nowadays LPG (liquid petroleum gas) plays a vital role in our day to day life, even from small villages to great cities LPG is most commonly used fuel for domestic as well as commercial purposes, since it is quiet costlier we supposed to use this because of its efficiency and simplicity. As our need of LPG increased its demand also increased. As it was a natural and non renewable resource we cannot increase the production of the fuel. Since we are in need of the fuel we are supposed to save it by avoiding wastages and by increasing the efficiency of the fuel for which we are in need of this setup. In this setup we are using the supporting fuel with the original fuel. In which the original fuel is LPG gas and the supporting fuel is nothing but compressed air. As the atmospheric air contains much amount of oxygen which is mainly responsible for the process of burning it is mixed with the LPG gas while the combustion takes place it will increase the efficiency of the fuel. As the atmospheric air is none of cost it is very much cost effective. And this simple setup is also very much cheaper and operating this simple setup is also very much easier even for the villagers so we can easily overcome the problem of demand for LPG in our daily life and also for saving the fuel for future generation.

  

 

                 consist of a very few equipments they are

  • GAS TANK
  • AIR TANK
  • MIXING CHAMBER
  • INLET VALVE
  • GAS VALVE
  • AIR VALVE
  • BURNER

 

GAS TANK:

                           This gas tank is a sealed metal tank with a single valve responsible for both inlet and outlet and the tank will be filled with LPG (liquid petroleum gas) which is the real fuel in our setup which is responsible for combustion process.

 

Air tank:

                           This is also a sealed metal tank which is used to fill the compressed air which is the supporting fuel in our setup. And is consist of a drain valve, inlet valve, outlet valve and pressure gage. The drain valve is used to drain out the water which may be condensed inside the tank. Inlet valve is used to fill the tank and the outlet valve is used to release the compressed air from the tank and the pressure gauge is used to check the pressure level inside the tank.

 

Valves:

                    There are two types of valves they are gas valve and air valve. The gas valve is responsible for releasing LPG and the air valve is responsible for releasing the air.

 

 

MIXING CHAMBER:

                                              This mixing chamber is the place where the LPG and the air both get mixed and in our setup the real fuel is mixed with the supporting fuel to increase the efficiency of the LPG and this is the very important place in entire setup. 

 

  BURNER:

                            This is the place where the fuel get combusted and the air fuel mixture which is from the mixing chamber is released by a nozzle to the burner and is get ignited.

 

 WORKING:

                                This concept is already employed in gas welding as well as in gas turbine power plants but we are introducing this concept for domestic purpose. Initially the gas valve should kept open and the gas should be ignited as the fuel get combusted in the burner the air valve should be open slightly up to the limit beyond that it may affect the combustion process as the compressed air from the air tank consist much amount of oxygen which is essential for combustion. The combustion increases resulted in high temperature which will increase the efficiency of the fuel from which we can save the fuel and can prevent the wastage of the fuel.

 

 

IMPORTANCE:

                                             The importance of the setup is to fulfill the need for LPG and to reduce the demand of the LPG. As the supporting fuel used is air is none of cost so it is very much cost effective so that even a poor man can use this setup and use LPG as a cooking fuel and by this setup we can also save LPG for our future generation.

  • From which we can save the LPG which is the non renewable natural resource.
  • By which the efficiency of the fuel will increased.
