BLOCK BASED FAST COMPRESSION FOR COMPUND IMAGES

                                                     ABSTRACT

 

                 

                    

               The project involves a novel block-based fast compression

 

algorithm for compound images that consist of graphics, text and natural

 

images and effective block-based classification algorithm. The

 

“Block-Based Fast Compression for Compound Images” involves the work

 

of compressing the Compound images including text, graphics and natural

 

images. The images are divided into blocks, which are classified into from

 

different types of blocks with a fast block-based classification algorithm. To

 

compress and decompress these compound images, here we use BFC

 

algorithm. By using the BFC algorithm, all the text, graphics and natural

 

images are composed together according to their gradient pixel values. The

 

composed compound images are compressed, decompressed and

 

decomposed to actual text, graphics and natural images using the BFC

 

algorithm.
