The Hindu Business Line: Learn Together

Vaidya Nathan

From having fun together it is but a step away to learning together, says www.classle.net. Explains, Vaidya Nathan, founder and CEO of Classle Knowledge, “Users on Classle can create, share and access content available in the form of ‘books’.

Registered members can upload content through the book modules in the form of text, images, slide shows, videos and pod casts. This content is then available for everyone to access, edit, and make copies of. Books are tagged under various concepts and subjects. In addition to facilitating amateur learning content, Classle also delivers expert designed, instructional material for students to access at no cost.”

Classle claims to have something for everyone. Explains Nathan: Students can join a group and get more people into it to facilitate wider discussions. They can share or borrow notes from friends over the site. Doubts, insights or if they have understood a concept in a particular way, they can share it through Classle.

If you are an educator, put your notes and thoughts here. If you are worried about how your students might have understood a particular concept, have them interact on the site and observe it to know where they stand.

Since the site is free, most of the revenue will be generated through advertisements and sponsorships.

Nathan was inspired to work on this project while working with Anna University in their State-wide placement initiatives.

Future plans involve expansion and an increase in coverage by way of more academic streams and also research.

“We’re also working on accessibility to more devices which are common, increasing participation, incorporating some of the wish-lists from institutions, such as project support, and gradually building secondary and tertiary revenue channels,” says Nathan.
